A Yorkshire Soap Box Team have once again taken on the pinnacle of non-motor racing.... the legendary Red Bull Race.

Red Bull's Soap Box Race on Saturday (22nd June), saw fearless, amateur pilots race each other in hand-made rides... propelling their cars to the finish line, with the hope that gravity was on their side. They were then judged on speed, creativity and showmanship.
Yorkshire Team 'Llama Drama', including Jonny Heath, Dave Bendall, Jonno Ambler, Mark Harrison & Tim Heath, are the only team to have competed in every single English Red Bull Soapbox Race. Team creativity hit a new high at this year's race, at Alexandra Palace in London. The soap box was based on online game Fortnite's 'Battle Bus', which emerged from a Llama on the start line!

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of providing the polystyrene for the team’s Soap Boxes for a few years now… and what these guys can make from our material is mind-blowing!
Despite receiving cracking creativity scores and flying to the finish without incident, the team were unfortunately pipped to the post for a podium position.
The Huddersfield based team have however (which is arguably more important!) been raising money for homeless charity 'Crisis' and there is still time to donate... just click on the below link!
